ok, so its been far to long. as an original amiga 1200 owner swos completely took over my life for many years! Now over a decade later i want it back!!!

Can anyone tell me which is the best emulator (also easiest to use - i'm old school, the most technical i got was ejecting the floppy and giving it a couple os spins before trying again) for XP out there. So far i've downloaded Kaillera V1.02. but am waiting for my chosen joypad to arrive in the post before i can test it properly. using the keyboard controls i couldn't seem to get passed the team selection screen as the fire button decides not to work on 'play match'.... is it a duffer? has any one else suffered with this?

08/09 teams too! surely its too good to be true!?

any help or advice would be greatly received.

thanks,

Try with right CTRL! That's the fire button.

08/09 teams:

Btw, do you want to play SWOS online with us? This is way better than playing vs. CPU...

thanks for your help! Will def be up for playing online. Think i'll need to get a bit of practice in first though. like i said, its been a long time.

Unfortunately i'm using a laptop at the mo, and there is no right CTRL button on it. Do you know if or how i can re-assign this button? I'm hoping once my joypad arrives it'll all be straight forward from there......

^^ That exe switches L-CTRL and R-CTRL... so you can use your laptop. Enjoy.

Tried that CTRL switch but didn't seem to make any difference. Anyway, i got tired of waiting and went out and bought a cheap usb controller. Works fine in xp. however, it doesn't seem to work on the emulator? its labelled as 1: 2-Axis,8 Button and i selected PC joyport 1. Any ideas?

Go to Winuae tab "Game I/O Ports". There you gotta switch PORT 1 to Joystick 0.
That's it.
